Replying to Studying for a year in Montreal - Few questions

Hey all;

So I've applied for a year abroad and 'grades pending' I'll be heading out from the UK at the end of August to study at Concordia. My main concern currently is accommodation, I'm looking at pretty much all options at the moment but I'd like something rather close to the University as I seem to have a habit of rolling out of bed 20mins before for class, especially after a night out of boozing. Does anyone know any reliable letting agents/websites? Anyone have any rooms avaliable?

Also on a side note I've heard alcohol is expensive in Canada, is this true, or do you just need to know where and when to go?
