Alrighty guys, I was driving in a residential area going the proper speed. I came to an intersection where there was a stop sign and a street sign directly to my left. I approached the stop sign, when I noticed another car coming to my left, perpendicular to me. The car was moving tops 10 mph, so I assumed that they were slowing down for a stop sign. I came to a complete stop and turned right. (I arrived at the sign first) and to my amazement, the car didn't stop. I thought that the sign I saw to my left was a stop sign for them, but it turned out to be a street sign. And the reason the person was moving so slow, was because she was an old lady. So a cop comes from nowhere and pulls me over. I was very polite to the officer (Yes Sir, Thank you, have a nice day) he comes over and is a absolute dick to me. I didn't argue or anything. I only said the 3 phrases right above^. So he gave me a ticket for Disobeying a traffic signal. He said I "Cut the person off" but i assumed she was stopping because she was going so slow. But the trick is, i came to a full stop. So what do you guys think? Do I have a chance in court?
Sparknotes: Cops an asshole and gave me a ticket for $125 for stopping fully at a stop sign and apparently, cutting some geezer off.
