Candide Thovex's upcoming film FEW WORDS released a teaser yesterday!

Yeah not to mention his beef is with the cinematography mostly- and not giving up ALL the goods in the trailer like most production companies.  He probably just wanted a sparknotes trailer.  All the Kandide Kameras so far have had a very artistic, philosophic kind of feel to them and I'm glad it appears they kept that up.  If that doesn't jive with Alport's fav style, then go watch a Sammy or Dane flick or something, don't bash a master for being different.

Also, I'm glad he piped up.  It is a fantastic juxtaposition that proves the gravity of the title of the film itself.  Few words.  Just another reason to respect Candide's class despite his domination all the more IMO.  Bravo, Pete Alport, for reminding me why I like Candide so damn much.

I think the money I normally buy the PBP movie with will now go to purchasing Few Words just because of Peter Alport.
Peter Alport is probably jealous that the cinematography in this teaser blew away PBP's whole movies.

It's so easy to say this... these are just words and we will never know.

Maybe if him and the PbP athletes were that good THEY would be doing this kind of movie.

But for now all we know is Candide had the funding and is going to throw a sick movie about skiing and PoorBoyz is going to serve us the same shitty parkshoots they've been serving us for years.

If you can't get enough good footy to get a decent movie every year then don't do a movie every fucking year. And if you are still going to do one for "the love of the sport" or other advertising reasons then don't complain about it. fuckin idiot.

Looks so good, I can't believe alport said that tho, makes me lose a fair bit of respect for poor boyz. At least its not like every poor boyz teaser that just gives away 80% of the good shots.

fuck you alport and you make no sense... where did you get this 5 year bullshit from? Candide has been working on it for 2 at most. And comparing dane, durtschi and sammy to candide is almost as retarded as you are.

we're all on the same team within the ski industry, why even attempt to disvalue the work of people who are doing the same thing you 'love'... Are you really that jealous?

Pete's been a pretentious douche forever, so his comment doesn't surprise me. Let him think what he will, but people will remember this film way further into the future than anything he's been involved in. I'm stoked to see more of Candide. It's been too long.

That last jump looks huge and the run up is moguls. And he was going like 60mph over them. AND wolves... Pretty awesome trailer.

That first jump was one of my fav in the whole trailer, the shot was just unreal. Don't know why anyone would come out and diss such an unbelievable trailer, definitely seems like bitterness

this looks fucking sick. the one thing i could point out is that i hope the editing isn't as slow as kandide camera and this trailer. its sick for a short edit but throughout an entire movie i could get bored.

that said i'm sure candide has a lot more insane shots that will keep things moving nicely and i will definitely be purchasing this

Wow first Field productions releasing their two project, this coming out in the fall. Looks like skiing entertainment is gonna be pretty damn badass in the coming years. Shame it took skiing this long to step up to projects like this though, maybe everyone will stop riding brainfarms dick after this comes out.

It's all about spirit, ingenuity and straight-up cash.

You know how much money the SB have? The size and amount of events they have compared to skiing? Jesus, no fucking match, any day now.

With movies like this, things could change!

Less fuck-up intervention from the FIS and IOC, more control over the sport of skiers BY the skiers in events, no matter if they are stablished riders or not - skiing has the possibility to have that "core" side in a rich man's sport, let's not let it slip.

I am so happy that the insustry is moving towards these because they are always way better than the standard PBP/MSP/TGR stuff that is the same every year.  The three 2 years that were released last year (Solitaire (Sweetgrass) All.i.can (Sherpas) and The Ordinary skier (Seth Morrison) were better than anything else in the past 5.  They are all better than ski porn and actually have a purpose and story.  I think that we can get all the ski porn that we need online and I would love if PBP/MSP/TGR did 2 years.  I also think that they should start trying collaboration films
