some/all of you may have seen this before, but i was hanging out with my dad (hadn't done that for quite some time) and we reminisced about the Oshkosh AirVenture (wisconsin) air show, our favorite part being this video:
If you haven't gone to an airshow, do it! I highly recommend oshkosh, because there is SO much to see: new technology up the inner sphincter, tons of craft demonstrations, history stuff, huge warehouses crammed with people selling jets and whatnot, and of course planes, trains and automobiles.
but the most important part of the whole party is the airshow, sooo much insane flying and cool planes bombin around. there's usually a SR71 sneaking over the show at 19 million feet (about), F14 raptors deafening everyone, and a couple planes drop 'bombs' on the runway:
here's a overview video of the show:
and the only privately owned harrier jet in the world showing off its insane capabilities:
and lastly but most amazingly, red bulls helicopter flying upside down:
sorry for reminiscing and posting old news but airshows have so much intriguing aspects, every time the oshkosh show comes around, i poop a little, possibly from chemickals loosening my butt
yes, i may have added one or two extra 0's to my conversion. regardless it is a much more reasonable distance now that i have redone my math. just 5791.2 km, from the earth's surface (atmosphere is only 1000 km deep)
