Replying to Timelapse compression help

snowisawesome:
Hey guys so I've been shooting a few timelapses lately but I'm having trouble compressing them to a smaller size.  I'm using a Nikon D7000.  The timelapse consists of about 400-600 photos in RAW format.  Now I open my image sequence in Compressor and then use "Apple ProRes 422 HQ" to make the timelapse into movie format.  It makes this into a quicktime movie that is approximately 4.5 GB and the dimensions are 4928 × 3264.  Now when I open this in Compressor and attempt to compress this to a file size of around 200MB it always fails.  I usually just use the quicktime H.264 setting and change the data rate until I get the size I'm looking for.  Why does it fail?  Can anyone recommend a better was to compress the .mov file to a smaller size?  Do I need to change the dimensions before trying to compress?
