Try looking to see if you can buy that part separate, or contact the company that makes those bindings

I can't see the picture, but I'm guessing thats a friction pad. Its designed to keep of the contact point with the boot slippery/movalbe, so that your boot can move easily around in the binding during a crash, otherwise your boot could just catch on the way out and not release properally. Having a friction pad fall off is pretty common, I would contact the ski shop you got the bindings from and get a new one.

Yes, this is something to worry about, that's the AFD (Anti-Friction Device), it helps in releasing you from your bindings in a fall. Take them to a shop that carries either Atomic or Salmon bindings, they should be able to take care of it. If not, contact Atomic directly and see if they can help. If all else fails, find an old plastic giftcard, cut it out in the shape of the slot where it should go and epoxy it in place...this is the quick fix, it works, but it's not ideal (mostly because it usually comes out again eventually)...but you really shouldn't have to get to that point since they're this years bindings they should be covered by warrantee still.

same thing happened to me at the beginning of the season with my px jibs but i had bought the bindings online and they only came with one afd so i went to my local shop and they didnt carry look parts, went to another shop and they didnt have the piece and went to a third shop and they couldnt put one in because of liability and shit. so i called getboards, where i bought them from, and after multiple phone calls they decided to send me new toepieces. i skied with the bindings for the week or two while this was all going on and i didnt have any problems without the afd but it was just preseason jibbing and stuff so no bad falls where i would need my bindings to work at their full potential.

spark notes get new ones, try your shop, but its not necessary to have them to ski

like said, yeah that will affect how it releases, only problem is that if they send you the new part, it'll probably be the whole new piece, not just the white piece(its the black plastic piece you see that goes under all 3 mounting holes) you'll need to coil that binding. go with what ^^ he said and cut up an old plastic card and epoxy it back in, only to raise up that indent so your boot sits flush.

try talking to a few shops, they may have a few spare baseplates sitting around, any non driver sth/ffg baseplate will work. if not another good thing to do is fill the space with a shitton of jb weld and sand smooth to match the contour of the other afd-it will never come out again

Both of my anti-friction pads fell off a while ago it doesn't affect me at all but if you really want too contact your shop you should have warranty for them or something.
