Can you rent stuff from the hemel hempstead snow dome, and if you can is it good, i don't yet own a pair of skis.
Also where are other good practice facilities for freestyle, like tramps and stuff

I'm pretty sure most snowdomes here rent out gear. No idea how good it is though.
As for tramps, make one..

cheers, for tramps there is no place locally where you can use gym tramps for recreational use, you have to join clubs and shit, i have one in my garden but it isn't particularly good

Most indoor hill's rent out normal skis, not twintips. Their boot system is kinda weird aswell. Most places just rent out rossignol stuff.

yeah, i only ski 5 weeks a year, suppose that is a lot for an english kid, the resort i go to doesn't have the best park though, lack of rails

Yeah, *SNO* got it right, most of the snowdomes only rent out your standard non-twin tip ski and rental boots always suck, but you gotta do what ya gotta do.

If you're desperate you could always demo from a ski shop. Most of the time they don't really mind you taking a park ski on therails and stuff being as that is what they are designed for.

For the tramp situation, most gyms ran by a local council or what have you with tramp facilities will have evenings or afternoons that you pay like £2.50 and you get 2-3 hours of use on anything. There are also usually some of the coaches kicking around as well as some of the local gymnastics team so there are a ton of people to ask advice from especially if you're just starting out - for instance I was trying my first inverts and had shit technique and one of the coaches took me through doing them properly piece by piece and now they're sweet!

Basically, most indoor snow slopes will have some form of park set-up one some days of the week (Glasgow where I go it's Thursday and Friday evenings) and tramp sessions are possible to be found just phone up all your local acitivity centres and stuff and find out.

Brighams do not let you do that, the ski is getting damaged so will not sell for as much at the end of the season

Im sure a few will back me up, cas is probably the best park week in week out, if you get chance to visit it is definately worth it

this is true the foods really shit, but hot posh english chicks suck awesome dick and are hot as fuck, aswell as cheap drugs good music and snowdomes,, other than that england sucks.. good surf though but cold as FUCK!!

i kid they do a good job at trying to keep things fresh which can lead to parks which arent great but i would say cas has a consistently decent park set up from the park plans ive seen (yet to ride there). Glasgow area is hands down the best place to be as a rider though with all 5 of the scottish resorts within a couple hours drive, the biggest dryslope kicker in the uk and others around, and a snodome.

Hemel's freestyle night is Friday, but they tend to have a few jumps and a rail or two out on a Thursday as well. As for the skis, You can demo some skis from Snow and Rock, but if you happen to rip an edge out on a rail you 'may' be held liable. The chances of this happening though are quite slim mind you. I'm selling a couple sets of skis at the moment if you're interested, PM me.

its not as bad as you might think, especially if you live near a snowdome. i mean i ski basically every week of the year which you couldnt do in alot of places. and england has other things like the sea which is cool for surfing. i mean dont get me wrong im probably gonna move to somewhere like france or BC when im older but id much rather live in england than in the midwest.

if you're looking for some cheap skis then it just depends on what you want... all the shops have had a really tough year so alot will be looking to shift stock.

drilled once on one ski, apparently twice on the other but mount them centre and youre good
edges a little rusty in spots and bases scratched but not horrific

if you want the skis, like I said pay for a courier and they're yours for free

the skis are fine for smashing about in a fridge park or whatever, they've softened up a bit so will be a bit lifeless on the piste or just super buttery, but fun nonetheless
