Good luck, there isn't much of a freesia scene up here. You might find better luck with a group of boarders. I'm moving to Utah from anchorage at the end of the summer. You might have better luck finding sick too ares in girded as well, plus you'd be right at the base of Aly. It would only be an hour drive to Uaa as well. Take like 3 days of classes a week and your set, and can night ski every night. And ski everyday you have off of school. Plus girdwood has good parties, alytjough they are a bit small.

Thanks for the good info, yea the Girdwood scene looked much more promising the the Anchorage. I have class Tuesday Thursday so that could be an option just might be a little harder to find a job in Girdwood. I will keep looking though, but excited for the move Alaska isn't for everyone but the fishing and skiiing looks pretty promising. Oh and posting my number, I guess I forget the immature people we live with these days. But feel free to text me if anyone knows of something good in AK, thanks a lot NS.

Yeah definitely shoot for girdwood if you're only going to have 2-3 days of class a week. Try to make those days in a-town as full as possible with classes so the drive is worth it. You'd probably be spending the same on gas if you live in a-town and drive to go skiing 3 times a week, so it'll be more worth it to live in girdwood. Not only would you get to ski more, on days when it dumps the highway to girdwood gets closed a lot due to avalanche danger. This means that only you and a handful of girdwood locals get fresh pow all day. Pretty sweet, always been jealous when that happens. plus girdwood has a much more chill and laid back vibe than anchorage. Girdwood is hipsters and ski bums, a-town is bros in their trucks and rednecks also in their trucks. Also girdwood has the best girdweed.

Just be careful!

Try finding a job at the hotel or a local restaurant/bar, I've heard it's not too hard. And you'd have much better luck finding some sick roomates in girdwood as well. A-town gets old fast and girdwood is always fun, cept for the summer. Its pretty dead but it does have a handful of fun festivals. Plus skiing goes into June so you'd be set.
