there is a difference between building a summer set up and building a summer set up correctly. both work. one just works better and wont kill you.

what you cant really see is the little support beam underneath the ramp. its a 4x4 angled into the ground with twigs. i might die.

Mine cost over 300 and it is basically the same thing with a higher drop-in. It's definitely not wasted money when you are serious about getting new tricks over the summer and you want something to drop in on that is consistent and not rickity as fuck. OP, trim the turf around the lip and staple it underneath. Then your lip will look extra fresh. Good job.

for all of you who have built summer set ups my friend is wanting to build one but needs help. he has a tree house sorta deal we took a wall out of and are gunna buil a ramp from there. he wants to know how wide how steep and mostly how to make the lip like what angle is the right amount of pop so you can spin onto rail but your not slamming onto it. also the Archetectual tips ypu guys could give like what to . use for the drop in and all,

width i would go no less than 3 feet to be safe. steepness is personal preference, mine is at about a 45 degree angle, just make sure the transition is smooth either way. the lip of my jump raises up about a foot in 4 feet or so and is really nice and mellow. i can spin on to a 16 inch high rail from a 12 inch lip easily.

The way of the future for summer setups is building on a hill with dirt then covering with leftover sythetic grass from peoples tennis courts, cost me nothing. I respect you guys that have to build your own slope.
