Movie Recording Has Stopped Automatically

can anyone help me with this? I have a refurbished canon t2i and am using a sandisk class 10, 8 gb card for it. Now whenever I try to take video, no matter what quality or fps, it will give me about 5 seconds of recording, then the message "movie recording has stopped automatically". Anyone else have this problem and know how to fix it? All the discussion I've seen when I searched seemed to be related to shitty cards, or cards with classes lower than 6.
anyone?

I have heard that there are a lot of knock off sandisk cards, could try formatting the card and see if that does anything though

I have had the same thing happen all the time, with a t2i and 8gb class 10 lexar. Haven't found a solution yet, but I've heard most people blame it on their cards as well. I'm curious for some more knowledge on this too.

This was one of the reasons I came across, but I'm 99% sure mine is legit. Gonna try formatting

Yeah formatting should solve the problem, normally this will happen to me every now and then, but I blame it on my transcend cards.

ya no problem, some people are convinced its better to do it in camera, I'm not 100% convinced that it matters, but it usually is a good idea to get in the habit of formatting your cards
