I think you mean that sometimes those tricks look similar. Saying that the trick in the video is sometimes a rodeo and sometimes a flat doesn't really make sense
are you fucking high? lol, a surf wave is like a quarter pipe.. if it was a three he would be landing switch which he isn't ie. a 5. I don't see how anybody could think that was under a 540 rotation.
just, no. He goes about 35 degrees past 360. I surf, I can't do that but if I could I wouldn't call it a 5, he takes off pointing pretty much down the line. I get the half pipe reference, but that's bullshit too imo. only on a quarter pipe can you truly claim an actual 5
Surfers need to use 540 degree rotations because a rodeo / misty 3 is impossible. if you broke the trick down you would see 540 degrees of rotation, if i 540 a hip am i actually doing a 450/630? no, its a 540 you douche.
b)If you did a 540 over a hip and landed on the back it would be a 540, but if you land at a right angle from where you took off (as on a hip), you obviously are not doing a rotation in multiples of 180 degrees, unless you land travelling across the landing instead of down it. Most people that I have heard describe tricks on a hip say 270/450/630/810 etc.
Anyone comentating on a live event would refer to it as a 540 . So backflips are not full 360 degree rotations either by your logic and should be worth less points than 360s in comp. I like the way you think.
backflips are 360 degrees. Doing a backflip with any amount of spin is a rodeo. The least amount of spin is 180. 360+180 is a rodeo 5. You can NOT do a rodeo 3, it doesn't work. It's either a backflip or a wackflip.
Nobody in the world besides yourself and skiPEI's friends (apparently) call tricks on halfpipes or hips in 90 degree increments. It's 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, etc. 2, 4, 6, 8, is for rails.
why are you so mad? they call a 450 a 450 when there are rails involved, why not call it what it is on a wave?
I never said it was a rodeo 3, all I said was, its not a 5. It isn't. And level with me bra, he doesn't take off pointing straight up the face and then land pointing straight down. no.
If you honestly think I'm dumb for calling this out, that makes you stupid. Sorry you had to find out like this. Call it what you want, most of you don't surf anyway and you're probably all fucking posers on the hill to so whatever.
FS Rodeo 5 off the toes. And here's something to solve the problem: When a skier in X Games or Dew Tour or any comp does a spin in the pipe, it's measured in spins as if it was on a jump. A run could be composed of a cork 9, dub 12, flat 5, dub 10, and alley-oop 7. Not an 810, 1170, 450, and 990. Name me one time an announcer has done that
I'm aware a backflip is 360 degrees, it's just by these guys logic the slope on the lip of the jump + tranny would make it < 360 degrees and to anyone saying a rodeo 3 is possible .. Pics of flat ground/tramp shot or it never happened .
