Western society is becoming soft.

its starts from an early age now a days. Kids cartoons/movies no longer have any hints of realistic violence and adult situations. Kids are no longer allowed to rough house at school and certain games like "tag" and such are being removed from the schools. The only thing that seems to not be soft is video games are becoming ultra violent but it seems new age parents keep a very strict watch on video game use of kids. Pixar movies are the most popular kids movies now a days and they are very meek and have no rough around the edges. I can not even imagine how much of pussies this current young generation will turn out to be. bit of a rant, my bad.

Seems like a lot of kids don't even go outside anymore haha

Also I just can't understand the person who graduates high school, could do pretty much anything they want, but instead they play videogames in their parents basement/sleep for most of the day.

the next generation always seems worse to the previous one. thats how it always has been and always will be, and in the end it will always turn out to be okay.

im not going to join the bandwagon and blame the liberals for the pussification of todays youth. (by the way anyone who has seen a good amount of george carlin material would recognize that a lot of his jokes about this very topic are being ripped off) but i will say this, and i dont consider myself to be too hard or anything, but i truthfully believe the problem is the access to frivolous technology.

before you shit on me about hating technology, i will tell you i dont. i am on my way to being an engineer, i like physics, and i absolutely love the age we live in, in terms of technological advancement....by that i DO NOT mean smartphones, iPads, video games etc. i know you may be thinking im a hypocrite for being on newschoolers, but aside from school/research stuff i spend at most between 30-45 mins. a day on ns/facebook.

i believe the pussification is due to the virtual world most shitbrains live in 24/7. they dont have to grow the balls to start a real fight, they can do it online. they dont have to learn any sort of social skills. they can do everything from a fucking couch. of course i see the benefits of all this technology, it has legitimate value for those who are self-disciplined enough not to let it absolutely waste them...but seriously,  until there is more discipline in keeping kids away from prolonged use of technology in the name of mindless bullshit, then yes. were only going to get softer.

Y'all major hypocrites if you're complaining, though. I mean, half the cool shit you've done in your life is probably a direct result of your parents letting you do what ya want, when ya want because they probably want the best for ya. shocking, i know. I bet if your parents were 'hard' you wouldn't be smoking weed for starters (i.e., the consequences of getting caught would outweigh the benefits). And remember the '80s? So do your parents.
