dope edit, but I think people have been catching waves on those things for a while. when i first saw skimboarding 10+ years ago in hawaii, kids would skim to the wave and ride it back in.
eh i wouldn't say that. there on a skimboard its skimboarding.... you cant flip a surfboard like that guy is doing. A lot of the time you can throw the board form the shore skim the shallow (like you said) and get out to the wave like that to ride it back. In my eyes thats how skimboarding should be, when I ride thats all im tryn to do. BTW this guy kills it and looks like hes having too much fun. Pretty big waves at the end too thats gotta be intense on a skimboard
I'm pretty sure that's brad domkie. When I was in school down in Florida my roommate was one of his good friends. I went to sebatian (where they are from) and met the kid, he's sick but he's a major tool haha
why wouldnt you just surf at that point? i understand like the wedge and other heavy shorepound beach breaks, but thats just stupid. use a surfboard, and if you want to do 3s and stuff use a finless board like an alaia or somehting
