Alright, So I've had this pair of COREupts for two years now. I'm getting a new pair next year so it doesn't really matter what I do to these. I was skiing my summer setup yesterday when some how and edge broke right under my binding. The edge is on the inside of the right ski and is pointing down, causing it to snag on the turf and result in me flying face first into my rail. So my question is can I somehow cut this chunk of edge off or file it down or something? Because turf is literally still stuck underneath the ptex. Again im getting a new pair so i wanna keep these for the backyard. So any fixes or solutions? I can post pics of the damage after school if nesssary.
You don't really care about these skis, right? If not, you could take a hammer to it to try and pop it into place a little more, then file the edge....note, this can really fuck up your edge and possibly your base too, so don't do it unless you don't care about them. You could also go with the slow route and use a vice or clamps to maneuver the edge back into place, it'll be safer for the skis, but it'll take forever and can be a huge pain in the ass to get into place.
honestly if you are using them only backyard, take off all of the edging. uless you get snow and want to ski some street rails or something but if youre only doing turf, just take it all off.
