To start off, I'll just say I currently have a D3100. It's my first DSLR and I've had it since June of 2011. At this point I feel I can safely say I've exhausted it's life span in my hands, and am ready to move onto better, but not necessarily bigger things. It lacks many features that are crucial to video recording on a DSLR such as full manual exposure,no mic input, and non-native video ISOs. Initially I began looking at Canons such as the D60 or 7D, but decided it would be financially cheaper to upgrade to the GH2 instead.
Now for my questions:
Is it worth it to buy the GH2 with the kit 14-42, or buy the body and another lens separate?
Should I buy a new fluid head before or after selling my current setup and buying the GH2?
Should I also be buying more memory cards? I currently use a 16GB Class 10 and 2GB Class 10 card. I'm worried the GH2 video will take up too much space and my cards will fill too quickly.
Also wondering if anybody on here has a GH2 and is familiar with it, is there anything I'm going to need to re-learn or that is going to be new on the GH2?
Lastly, there's been talk of a GH3 being released, should I wait for that to release and initiate a price drop in the GH2? Or is it going to be a while?
