Marker Griffon vs. Squire for park and groomers

I've heard very mixed reviews of squires, so I want to hear what you guys think. I'm 6' 1" and 155 lbs, ski mostly park and some groomers in Michigan. I'm you're average rider, 25-40 foot jumps, and normal rails and whatnot. Flippy spins and all that, lemme know what you'd suggest.

At your height, weight and skiing ability, I would definitely go with the griffons. The squires will be too fragile, the griffons are a good binding for your weight.

Marker's are shit, all plastic and no durability for your weight i would got with pivot 14 of sth 14(make sure it is the driver toe) much better binding for the price and will last you many seasons, here is a link for sth 16's not bad for 270$

griffons, but i have markers right now, they are really light but they aren't everything they are cracked up to be. either get some legit pivots or just get some entry level bindings, the whole idea of freestyle bindings is whack

I've been riding a pair of Griffons for 2 seasons now, and I have absolutely no complaints. I'm 6'1", 180lbs. I have a STRONG feeling that the people hating on the binding have never actually spent time on it.

the moving afd plate on the griffon makes it a terrible park binding. either get a jester (which has a fixed afd plate) or get another brand.

I've raced on marker binding for years, love em.  As for salomon, not a fan. I do all of the work on my skis myself, and I find Salomons very hard to work with

I skied jesters for 10 days at aspen. I liked them. They released early a few times, but I feel that was a din issue. They felt fine otherwise.

there not ALL plastic, most of there bindings are like half plastic half metal, and how can they be shit if pros do dubs everyday on them and urban

Bingo. Everyone on this site jumps on the hate wagon. However I only use look bindings myself.

Agreed, Look/Rossi/Dynastar are all great bindings. Past three pairs I've has were two PX12s and FKS. Loved all of them, but I'm trying something new for next season

Don't listen to the haters. At your height, weight, ability, and region the Griffon will be plenty binding. I'm a bit lighter then you, but I had no complaints on my Griffon's.

Well this is just my experience, I'm 150lbs 5'8 and I've needed to get the toe replaced, needed to get the afd replaced(so I agree with the poster further up about having an annoying AFD) and It comes off the rails a lot, so I need to take a screwdriver up the hill with me often.
