I'm planning a ski trip for next year. If you could go to silverton, wolf creek, Jackson hole, crested butte, or Taos, where would you go and why?

Silverton or Jackson as long as you have some BC experience and gear.

definitely not Taos or Crested Butte - they don't get enough snow.
Wolf Creek isn't that gnarly, but it gets a good amount of pow.
Silverton is so damn far away from anything. It's remote unless you can fly into Durango or Telluride.
I'd say Jackson Hole - tons of snow, and lots of steeps.
Or put Squaw Valley, Snowmass or Whistler on your list.

Just got back from skiing Silverton today actually. Its an awesome place, not really sure if its the kind of place you would want to ski for a week. The ski area is literally in the middle of nowhere. I say you should go to Telluride. Plenty of gnarly, awesome shit there, plus Silverton is a little over an hour away, so you can ski there for a day or too. The San Juans/SW Colorado are very underrated, its awesome down here.

you are asking a rediculous question...i assume you are aware that those are all world class resorts...with that being said go to whatever resort has the best base and if possible chase the storms

yeah don't come to CB, it sucks here. It's flat, horrible terrain, the people suck, and we never get snow /sarcasm

crested butte is awesome. i went there spring break this year in one of their worst years ever and it was still great. Taos gets the best snow on the planet. i would say jackson early season and the rest late season. Jackson hole's mostly eastern exposure can cause spring conditions as early as February. also there is a lot of el nino speculation now if that happens wolf creek and taos will have double the snow of the others(beside silverton). sort of biased being i live in nm and ski taos a lot. and yes all of them have great terrain
All times are Eastern (-5)
