Alright so I'm trying to make a lil jib thing for my backyard. We already have a little house built up and it's an 8 foot drop off it how long should the drop and tranny be and how high should the lip be? +k to any help

It all depends on how big of a rail you want to it. 8 feet is a good height though and I would make your rail around 15 feet

steeper than 45 is usually good, I have mine at 45 right now and it robs me of speed, I plan on making it steeper, by using a couple of 9 foot long 2x4s for the initial steepness, then having a crazy awesome tranny, like people make in the game linerider, if you remember that game.

2x4s. Pressure treated last longer, but you can't burn them because they give you cancer and they cost more. when you figure out how many you need -draw up some blueprints- go to the store and look at every single one you buy, eyeball them looking from one end to the other, you will be able to tell if they are bent or not. Do not get the bent ones if you can help it.

Make it 10 foot drop in, 2 foot tranny, and 1 foot ramp. Mines good and i don't need water or soap.
