NSers at Johns Hopkins, Northwestern or Duke?

Getting towards the end of my junior year and I'm looking at colleges to visit over the summer. These 3 are probably my top choices right now. None of them are near skiing, but I'm wondering if any NSers go to any of these schools and can tell me what the vibe is like.

I have been to all three. Some call me a world traveler, others call me a fuck up.

Northwestern is awesome. I visited a friend there a few times when we were in college. The campus is really nice and right on Lake Michigan, and it's also really close to downtown Chicago, where there's just about anything you could ever want to do.

Word I was most curious about Northwestern. I feel like there isn't much to do in the midwest. Good to hear otherwise!

My aunt lives right by the Northwestern campus so I've been there a lot. It's really nice, little beaches n shit and lake view trails and shit and large areas of grass to do things and shit. Also it's close to downtown, and Evanston has some things to do in it, and you could kind of say it's close to skiing, sort of. Chestnut is like 3 hours away and usually has a solid park.

Haha yeah, I mean as a whole there's not a ton to do, but I absolutely love Chicago. Such a great city. And I'm pretty sure there's now a train that runs from Chicago up to the west side of Michigan, which is really nice in the summer if you're on the lake.

Check out Colorado College if you're interested in good schools close to skiing

Turned down Johns Hopkins. Its a nice campus and stuff, very old, and is in inner city Baltimore. Its a dangerous campus though as a result. Not too far from skiing (around an hour or so), but its nothing special. The kids there are kinda either douche bags or very nerdy. Didn't really like the vibe there.
Great school, but just not for someone like me.

yeah honestly of the three you chose, the coolest kids are probably gonna be at duke, and it will have the best campus life. I was actually looking at all three of these schools, and only ended up applying to duke. One bad thing though is you won't be anywhere close to skiing
