This movie looks cool and entertaining and I will probably pay to see it. That being said it also looks like the biggest sellout of rap and hip hop culture to date. To me rap (and hip hop) is about the underground, law breaking, stirring the pot culture that always goes against the mainstream. As soon as old people and "the man" start to understand and infiltrate hip hop culture it loses a lot of its meaning to me.

He has to be up there as one of the most talented people in entertainment in the past couple decades. Produced some of the greatest hip-hop albums of all time, wrote killer verses, acts, and is an accomplished author, not many people can compete with that skill set.
