I have decided I will be adding one or two videos to these pools per day (or however much school/skiing allows me).
If you wanna learn to RIP Massive like a pro, this is the thread for you.
Without further ado, here are the first group of tutorials.
for these next 3 tutorials the instructors are using and referring to presets, you can download the presets on the youtube page in the video description.
Most electronic bass sounds used these days come from Massive. If there is a bass sound you like from a particular producer, there is probably a youtube video out there explaining how it is done so try to recreate your favorite sounds and then expand upon them.
PS after you are done with using Massive in Ableton and your MIDI notes are already written down in arrangement mode, save CPU Usage by making your MIDI file into an audio file. First, create a new audio track (Command T), right click your Massive track, Select "Freeze Track", and when its done freezing pull that track into the audio file. Voila, you have a new Audio track to fuck with. This also allows any effects you put on the sound to directly affect the audio rather than going through your synthesizer first. At this stage, I personally like to fatten it a little more/EQ with a mulitband compressor, and throw a slight bit of reverb through a return track (obviously depending on the sound I want to make).
Anyways, have at it fellas. I will be adding to this video collection in this thread pretty often, and if you see/find one you personally like, you should post it here as well.
