Bad Lieutenant: Offensive?

I just had an interesting conversation with someon. I was wondering if anyone on here found the bad lieutannt helmet to be offensive in any way. I'm totally neutral on this, i just want to here your oppinions.

its not offensive, they make motorcycle helmets exactly like it, saying that the bad lt is offensive is just plain cuntery

The basic shape of the helmet is pretty dope, but to go the extra step of putting the SS symbol on it is offensive. For those of you who don't know, the SS was a combination elite airborne unit and hit squad. They were responsible for killing many many Jews, and many many allied soldiers. Glorifying them is not cool.

Ha, well, The nazi helmets looked a hell of alot better than any other helmet in world war 2.

And so what if the bad luitenant looks vaguely like nazi helmets, you could say the modern american army helmets look like nazi helmets, cause they took from that design.

Nazis has probably the most stylish uniforms. Fucking knee high riding boots with jersey shirts and those straight illin helmets. Plus if you were a really good Nazi, you got a spike on your helmet, which was like dangle, but for their heads. Quit bitching...offensive my ass.

I thnk it's kinda dumb that people think it's really offensive. it's just a helmet.

But it's an ugly helmet. I do think it looks cool, but as far a skiing is concerned, wearing it with a ski jacket and pants, it looks out of place and ugly.

It's as much like a nazi helmet as it is like quite a few other styles of military helmet. Many countries used headgear with a similar look to the bad lt. at one time or another. This is a bit of a stretch, people are just seeing what they want to see. 'Oh! A good reason to bitch and complain about something unimportant! Let's jump all over that, because life is boring and I need a cause.' Morons. Gives PC a bad-...er, worse name.

I think the spiked helmets were used by German forces in the first world war. That spike helmet would be so cool. (And remember that Nazi's came around in the 30's so there's nothing more wrong with this helmet than with a US helmet) Bah, just kidding.

is the ss sticker standard or was that a custom modification. if it came on every helmet, i suppose i can see how a holocost survivor would be offended at the glorification of the ss symbol, but as for the general shape of the helmet, people need to lighten up, i mean it's just a helmet. also, isnt it missing the spike on top that zee germans had?
