Worth it?

I need a compact for traveling/hiking this summer. Should I get this or save up for a jacked up compact?

I already own a t3i with multiple lenses but feel like I need something less expensive/bulky.

Whoa thats a sick deal. But if youre gonna get a compact you might as well get an actual compact. Like one that fits in your pocket. M4/3 is legit but its not THAT much more compact than a DSLR unless you just use some of the pancake primes, which means you have to carry multiple lenses anyway.

Thats a stupid good deal. If I had cash maybe I'd pick one up just because I shoot film on a Canon F1 so I have a bunch of FD glass.

These are my thoughts too. I've got a bunch of old Nikkor AI glass that I could adapt.

The thing is that would be just as bulky as a dslr. What's your budget? The fuji X series is awesome but they are expensive, same with canons G series, Panasonic's Leica copy is dope as well I believe hollygrove has one.. I don't see the point in a tiny sensor p&s, the iq is generally bad.

My whole reasoning behind this is because of how inexpensive it is.  I don't necessarily need something I could pocket, just something to clip on belt or small bag.  I agree though, the adapter+even a small prime would be end up being a little excessive. I wish I could justify putting more money into one of these systems but ATM my max budget is $350.

If thats the case then I would just pull the trigger. Its dirt cheap and if you already have glass you could adapt, the only other thing you have to buy is the $30 adapter. I have a few old nikon primes I use on my GH2 and its super fun to shoot with. If you end up liking the camera you could pick up a couple native M4/3 lenses down the road.
