New worlds largest indoor ski hill in Stockholm Sweden
They started building one in the East, on a farm outside Ipswich, then the guy building it had his company go bust. It was supposed to have a chairlift, bobsled, ice skating and hotels.
Indoor parks look hideous. I can't think of anything more environmentally-ironic than taking something that is supposed to belong in the mountains and enclosing in a giant cement building. Stop being so greedy and don't try to make skiing a sport where it shouldn't be!
so you're telling be that if you moved to a place that NEVER got snow and was flat as balls you wouldn't want one of these down the road? C'mon man, it's obviously better outside but you gotta work with what you got!
OH k, well wouldn't you want people that are not able to experience the extreme awesomeness that is skiing that normally wouldn't have the chance? and I think quite a few people could benefit from something like this
park conditions and snow conditions in general are totally different from hill to hill ...
i ski almost my entire summer indoor, i have like 3 slopes withing 1hour driving and 5 within 2h and some are really sketchy and icy parks while others have pretty decent snow and cool parks ....
I think I speak for every fridge kid around the world when I say - Fuck you sir.
I'd kill to be able to ski on a mountain for a whole season on an annuals basis, but some of us live in places where the snow is often shit and so we need our fix another way.
Wow, that is project and a half right there. It will be interesting to see if it actually gets built as planned, and if so when it will be completed and what the cost will be. It certainly can't be cheap, but it looks like it will be a pretty BA indoor.
