PX 14 deal, too good to be true?

My dad needs a new setup and I just ordered him some 192 Armada TST's.  Now I need to find some bindings, and stumbled across a great deal on some Dynastar PX 14 Race bindings with 100mm brakes on Evo for $130.  Here's the link if you want to be sure what binding I'm referring to: http://www.evo.com/outlet/alpine-ski-bindings/dynastar-px14-100mm-brakes.aspx

This is the lowest price I've been able to find on a 14/15 DIN binding.  Is there any reason I shouldn't pull the trigger on these for him? 

My dad is 6' 3" 200 lbs, 46 years old.  He's and advanced skier spending most of his time in trees, bowls, chutes, bumps, with some occasional groomer runs as well.  Will the PX 14 race bindings be a good fit for him and his skis?

I managed to bend the shit out of my PX18 Racings (track and everything) on a pull out. They were good bindings, but just how they got all twisted from a binding pull out, it makes me wonder.

Your dad should check out the Salomon STH 16 Driver. I trust them over everything else, and if you look around, you can find some previous season models for some decent prices.

They will be perfect for your dad. I doubt he is gonna be sending huge cliffs, jibbin pillow lines and throwing switch 5s in the park. Pull the trigger, its a pretty good price. Only place youll find a better deal is Ebay/NS/TGR and thats if your lucky.

I got those for 75 early in the season... sucker. :D. Good durability. The heelpiece is super beefy, like all metal. Only problem I sometimes have with the px series is that the heelpiece sometimes moves a tiny bit over the season, so you have to click the piece forward again.

Thanks for the advice.  I went ahead and got them.  The whole thing about them pulling out and getting bent sounds like kind of a freak accident.  Hopefully a middle aged man won't be pushing his bindings to the limit haha.

The thing is, I wasn't, just skiing along and I pulled out (shitty cores). I've used PX12s before and never had any problems.

Just to have an all metal race binding get bent is weird.
Hopefully they work for him. They should.

u should be fine earlier this year i got px12s for 80 bucks of evo and they held up great getting beat up on my suspects
