Im wondering when i should buy my first pair of skis. I am 15 years old and 160 cm tall. I only go skiing 7 days a year because i live in denmark :/. Next summer, not this one im going on a ski camp for 7 days + another 7 days in the winter. I dont know whats a good timr to buy because you know im still growing taller n shit you know :p im considering eithet Armada Elrays or Atomic Punx because theyre both good solid skis for both park and allmountain and they arent that pricey :)
Leave your opinions below
Thx
Just get skis that are longer for you, that way if you do grow you're fine. As you only ski around 7 days a season, try and grab an end of season deal, and you'll save yourself some money.
you can't go wrong with the El Reys or Punx. Both solid all-mountain/park skis. The El Rey might be a touch more durable construction (cap), but the Punx is the better ski.
End of season deals are the best for sure. The problem is finding the ski you want and size still in stock. At PowderHuffer, for example, we have the El Rey at 40% off.
ya end of the year sales are where it's at! If you ask ski shops sometimes they have last year's model which are a steel. Don't forget about bindings either. Not sure how much more you will grow, but if you can manage a ski that stays above your chin when fully grown thats a good buy. don't buy it too long unless your glenn plake. Its too hard to handle an overly long ski.
Thanks for the feedback, at our local ski shop you can get el rays w/ bindings for 3300,- Danish crowns which is the same as 580$, yeah it expensive here in europe, fuck that! ahah
Punx are about 400$ but thats without bindings so, yeah
