Anybody ever thought of these lava/magma tunnels as a frontier of sorts? Undoubtably one we won't be able to explore more a while longer, but nonetheless a direct route to the earths core.

well they are not really direct routes to the earths core at all. I guess rift volcano is pretty close but still you have like hundreds of km of solid rock between the volcano and the core
