long skis??

im 5'9 and im gettin fujatives, and they come in 179 and 169, now 5 years ago if i were to ask nebody that new nething about skiin theyd say 169, cuz theyre at my eyes, but i know 99 percent of ppl here wud scream and yell 179...but why, arent shorter skis easier to control and spin and get around??

Might be easier, but its all about style. plus a longer ski will be better for all mountain.

Yeah longer ski = better all mountain performance and better on big jumps. Smaller skis are easier if you have to huck your spins to get around...my advice is to just get longer skis and stop being a cry baby and hit a big jump. But thats just me

the 169's will be just fine for you unless you are going off 30+ foot clifs onto under 20* landings then you might crator but i'm your size and i just got 169 seth's

go 169 becasue k2 measuring is way off more like 173cm so that should be fine

neither 169 or 179 are a long ski for you. small skis are easier, and only pussy fags use them.

^ I'm with you on that, I read big, and thought 200 plus, I have 190's and dont consider them big, and I can still control them fine, they just suck for dodging trees.

im 5'8 and the guy at the shop wouldnt sell me anything over 165, yet i ended up getting 167 chronics....as opposed to 177 1260s (last years)

its really your preference, some poeple like bigger skis and some like smaller, i'd go anywhere around 180 if I were you.

just remember that a ski only knows how much you weigh, not how tall you are. Weight can be exempt if you are strong though. I am going to probably ride those 189 Maden's this season and I am 150 or so. Regardless height has nothing to do with it, you could be 6'6 and be skiiny as a twig making 195 too much ski, its all relitive.
