Sequence Photos?

How do you take a sequence photo and combine it into one photo? I CAN'T DO IT :(

I would also like to know this, haven't ever really gotten in to photography. My guess is that you just have to change the camera to continuous or burst mode and take a still shot.

shoot lots of photos quick OR take some frame pulls from a video

In photoshop, pick one of the photos to be your base image

cut the sequenced object/person out of the other images and lay them on top of the base photo

save

done.

to do this you need photo shop right? how do you download photoshop for Mac?

Damn it just wrote a whole thing on how to do sequences and accidentally pressed return key and lost everything! So here I go again.

1/ before taking any pictures set your camera to manual and burst mode, take a few test shots until you get the right settings. I highly recommend you use a tripod for your first sequences and also avoid using a fish-eye or any lens that deforms the picture, it just makes it harder for the Photoshoping afterwards.
2/ Start taking pictures before the rider is in the air, 3-4 pics before will do the job.
3/ Same thing when he lands 3-4 pics of the rideaway!
4/ Don't release the trigger in the middle of the action.

5/ Watch carefully Dan Carr's video on how to do a sequences, it was with that video that I made my first sequence.
6/ The important thing to remember is to get the order of each layer right, don't get the mixed up like this one https://www.newschoolers.com/photo/188440.0/Steffen-Hamre for example.
7/ once you're done, carefully check that you didn't accidentally erase a part of the riders ski/pole or anything !!!
8/ Spend the time to do it good !!!

You don't need Photoshop, there are other softwares that will do the job.

I've put together a few sequences... I used GIMP, it's basically Photoshop only free.

The material you're working with is important... you'll have a way, way easier time making sequences if the only thing that moves is your subject. You can do them from hand-held or even panning the camera but it's way way easier if you use a tripod.

My Galaxy S2 somehow does sequences itself... only the frame-rate is pretty low so it's not great for ski tricks etc.

I did one in paint and it looks exactly like a photoshopped one do photoshop isn't needed. Pics once I'm home
