i live in Albany and I ski at Gore Mountain like 1hour and 15 minutes away. I also sometimes ski at this tiny place called Maple Ski Ridge which is fun if you just want to hike the park features. Also mount snow is pretty close like 2 hours away i think.
Willard kinda sucks its really small, West is ok, Jiminy is a nice mountain but the park isnt great, Hunter has a sick park, Mt. Snow obviously has the best park out of the bunch, Killington is killington, And you left off Gore Mountain which is like 1.5 hours and is a really good mountan for park and some pow
Shittiest mountain ever. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY! Seriously, I'm hoping this awful winter will put them out of business after they built an indoor waterpark, rollercoaster, zipline, and pedophile adventure center instead of investing in their actual mountain.
for night skiing, pick up a jiminy peak season pass. its 40 minutes from albany and while its not the best, its the best for night skiing in the area. For weekend trips, you have plenty of options ~2 hours from you. to name a few: Gore, stratton, mount snow, hunter, windham, killington, okemo, pico, magic, bromley.
Hunter is an awesome place to ski at. The way they cut the trails into the mountain makes for some sick ways down to the park. They have a high speed 6-person lift that lets you go on some sick trails, and go through the park in one lap. On days where the 6-pack is crowded, there's a quad that services the park.
Def hunter, they have some nice runs down to the park. The park itself is always fun. And if you are a college student a college seasons pass is only $299.
I buy the college pass every year as i live only 20 min away. Great deal
