no carbs at night, 30 minutes of cardio before every workout.
seems to be doing the trick. been at it for about 4 months now. i've definitely trimmed down the old beer flab a bit and plan on sticking with it until my abs are exploding out like a bronze god and droppin pannies errywhere.
that's the key though. it's not about how hard you work out. you have to do cardio consistently and you have to cut out the carbs cause you just pack em. a 30 minute run goes for not when you have a couple sandwiches or some junk food for a snack at night.
well duh. if you want muscle you have to lift, but there's no point in having muscle if you have a bad diet and don't do cardio consistently cause you wont be cut. if you work out for the ladies, most of them will tell you that they want to see a guy who's lean and has abs. you don't have to be a giant beefcake, but being cut is the key, and being cut is probably the hardest thing to do. it requires that you dog yourself and push through the pain of a miserable run, and eat the right foods (another thing thats really tough for most people to do when they're hungry for snacks at night or don't want to spend time preparing meals and instead chow down on cheap/easy filler crap).
ahhaahaaaa. that's funny. i always thought the same thing. it was always the little dickheads who fancied themselves tough guys but couldn't actually deliver / take a body check or dangle around with skill and instead had to run on foot with a little stick net whacking people and flinging a ball around.
i know that's not all it is, but that was just always my perception.. maybe it comes from going to a lacrosse-oriented high school where it was always the abnoxious, tiny, preppy cool kids who played catch with those things in the hallways n shit like it made them boss.
