Alright boys, its mid April, its coming before we know it... there was a thread last year, might as well make a new one this year.. lets hear your best and most creative idea...

Mine was, i ran for highschool president, and right as my speech ended i knelt on one knee pulled three roses from my suit, and asked in front of the whole school. She said yes, i won the election. Twas a good day.

Iast year I photoshopped a picture of me with a prom sign onto a jones soda bottle and i gave her that cuz she always hated soda. So I said I hope you like this one. she loved it

hanging around with girls who care too much, not getting laid: pointless

at least this was how it was at my school. Never went to mine, hung out with a friend that weekend instead and had 100x more fun

we didn't do a limo (did those earlier in high school and got over it), our tickets weren't that expensive, and we rented relatively cheap ridiculous tuxes. junior prom and senior prom were a fucking blast, and the parties afterward were awesome too. i was also with my girlfriend and all my best friends so that probably helped.


i post this in every prom thread, but oh well, i'm still stoked on it:

Left a big chalkboard saying it at the end of the driveway with an umbrella over it and a floodlight on it so when we pulled in from where we were coming from, it was there waiting. It worked.

I tried to ask her with clay at school but she didnt come that day so i just called her on the phone. Fuck all the special asking shit, shes just a friend who has a boyfriend so theres no chance of me getting any at all (Foreveralone.jpg) which is why i just called her. Also prom is fun as fuck if you do it right with close friends and drugs; i'm usually an anticonformist potssmoker type when it comes to school activities but get over it if you think your too cool and you will have a better time than whatever you and your other non conformist buddies have planned that night to give the establishment the middle finger

Man, back when I had my grad prom, I was dating this total bitch who wanted it her way, even though it wasn't her prom.
She wanted a nice car, I didn't even have my licence at the time. Or she got really pissy about her hair, and I really didn't care. I got my hair done though.
After the prom ceremonies, she left and wanted me to go with her. Fuck that. My buddies and I danced every where in the ski lodge. Then partied.

Bottom line: It might just be me, but don't take prom so seriously. Have fun with it, you're celebrating a pretty big milestone in your life. Doesn't have to be perfect.

Should skip the dance unless your date realllllly wants to go.
Instead, save yourself a couple bens and go buy an eighth and a handle. Then just hang with a couple friends and your date, get fucked up and go to the after parties.

Save yourself ruining a tux with puke, paying for a limo you don't want, buying a flower for a shitty tradition, and having to deal with someone catching you for being wasted at a dance.

I was dating the same girl for my last two years of high school so it was kind of a given we were gonna go, I think I just got her some flowers and asked her. Nothing special but she liked it. I don't see why everyone makes a big deal about how they ask someone. Just man up and go up to her infront of her friends with some nice flowers and pop the question.

there's no rule that you have to do something special, but i highly doubt that your girlfriend wouldn't have appreciated it if you had put a little more effort in. not saying she wasn't perfectly happy, but there are few girls that don't enjoy a little extra effort. and besides, some guys actually enjoy coming up with a dope way to ask, it doesn't feel like a chore to everybody.

idk about that. Girls in High School (applies to guys to) are extremely unmature. I do not have the answer to why this is, i just have noticed it.

This weekend i hung out with a friend from NY (we both moved out to CO and have little friends). Comparing her when she was in HS 3 years ago, to how she was today. COMPLETELY different person. Better personality, more honest, nicer, and more mature

I might be biased though because we are very physically attracted to each other.
