Park boots help

Okay, well I'm really new to park skiing. I just got my first pair of park sticks, actually. I would consider myself a good downhill skier. Anyway, should i keep my tecnicka boots for the park? (W/10.0 makrker bindings) They're fine with downhill skiing. Or should i get a pair of full tilts, or spks? I mean how much of a difference do park boots REALLY make in the park? Lighter? Easier? Will be technika boots be fine in the park? +k for feedback. I'm a gaper if you can't already tell. Thanks.

if your current boots fit you, then basically no difference.

If you foot it pretty much done growing then I love my full tilts, I know it a typical answer for park boots but it is the best boot I have owned: light, comfy, easy flex, easy to get in and out of, absorbs shock well

Well fitting park boots will be comfier and a little more enjoyable than stiff downhill boots but as far as performance is concerned there isnt a difference.

There is a big misconception that boots marketed to park are actually different to alpine boots. Most boots are exactly the same. Take full Tilt for example, The seth and the Tom boots are the exact same other then the flex of the tongue. The only boot really that was really built from the ground up for park is the SPK, but if it does not fit you, it will be worse then boots which may not be park oriented.
Get the boots that fit you the best, and dont worry so much about what there marketed at.

As true as this is and you have the best advice, I do think that 3 piece boots with separate tongues flex much better then other boots, and most of these boots happen to be marketed as park boots unfortunately. Just hope he doesn't get steered away from them, because I really believe the 3-piece design with a floating tongue flexes so much better for freestyle riding if not skiing in general.

^ this is the bad advice newschoolers is full of unfortunately. 3 piece boots are no better then a standard cuff boot. There different yes but in no way better. If they were Rachile would not have gone out of business and we would all be in 3 piece boots nowadays.

3 piece boots are great and so are standard boots, go to a bootfitter and get what he recommends, not what newschoolers say is cool.

I am not saying they are a better boot in general, merely the flex of them are much more consistent. I said it in a nice manner I don't know why you had to say I was giving terrible advice. It's just everytime somebody on this site wants a boot that is popular or that everyone else has you guys all assume it doesn't fit him, when it probably might. Not alot of people have jumbo feet, and even people with bigger feet like tighter fits.

All I'm saying is don't let NS scare you off getting a boot that you like, IF IT FITS. Because honestly in all the threads most comments come off as: Don't buy Fulltilts, SPKs, Dalbellos, it won't fit you, it's only for people with narrow feet, its popular but probably the wrong boot for you, etc. When really it could be the right boot. And everyone saying not to get any of these "park boots".........owns these exact same park boots and it seems a bit hypocritical to scare people off right away.

No threads are scaring people away from buying full tilts, dalbello, spks, etc... what these people are saying is that you shouldn't buy a boot based on hype! same reason why I always say don't buy a boot online. could it be the right boot? maybe...but why not get fitted properly and take less of a chance on your $300-$500 investment?
