Is it actually snowing at Killington. I'm an hour drive away and I am wearing shorts today with absolutely NO snow on the ground..website says they got 18 inches and its still supposed to snow for 2 more days...
By next weekend, do you mean this weekend, the 14th-15th?
Snow showers will stick around through Thursday and then temperatures will be into the 50s for the weekend. No idea at this point how long the K-1 gondola spinning. The trails off the Superstar lift have tons of base though and are still going strong.
Oh, and just got off the mountain. Upper mountain is silky smooth dense snow. Lower half is cement. Staying high yielded some great turns and lots of completely untouched canvas' if you were willing to put in some effort and poke around.
I don't live in Vermont so I'm very unfamiliar with what mountains are opened and closed. I thought Killington was closed.....if they received this much snow could they open like one lift or something just for a weekend or so to have some fun?
