++++k for help!!! Nikon coolpix s6000 wont turn on or respond to anything?

ive had it for about a year, but about 4 months ago i went to turn it on and it wouldnt. ive tried charging it,
plugging it into a computer, taking the battery out and it wont react to anything accept for
a green light goes on when i plug it into a wall...

I have the same camera, and before buying it I was reading reviews and a few ppl said that if you turn it on and the lens isnt able to fully open up, it can fuck the camera up beyond repair. Id call Nikon and see what they say.

I have a bit lower quality Nikon and when it seizes on me I just hit the fucker on the front and it kicks into working order again... not ideal, but hey, whatever it takes.
