The Situation

Ok i've been asking a lot of ns lately and this is my last question.

I just got a new pair of skis along with boots. My skis will fit for probably around 2 more years. My boots might only fit 1 more year. Is it possible for my bindings to get remounted to my ski for a different size?

If your bindings aren't mounted yet, ask your shop to mount them one size bigger than your current boot. Meaning if you are a 26/305mm ask them to mount for a 27/315mm, then you'll get the most out of the adjustment range as your boots get bigger.

If they're already mounted, don't worry about it. Just remount the heel 20mm back if needed in the future.

the heel pieces of bindings are mounted on a track that will offer usually at least one size of adjustment...Unless the shop that mounted them mounts the heel piece all the at the back of the track thus not allowing you to move it back any farther.

if your skis aren't yet mounted, just go to the shop, explain this, and they'll mount your heel so there is room for the heel to be moved back to accommodate for a bigger boot in the future.

or, you can just get the bindings taken off and remounted next year if need be. it will probably cost around 40 bucks (pretty standard for a remount in VT anyway). This shouldn't be a big deal, as most skis can handle up to 3 mounts before durability gets sketchy. My skis are on their second mount and i've had no issues.
