Price Matching

So i was at walmart today for sodas and stuff and i saw them advertising that if a competitor has a lower price they will beat it, at the register. I know someplaces require proof such as ads or coupons but if you just walk up to them and be like "Hey, CVS has got 7up for only $2 for a 12-pack and you guys got it for $4", they'd change it right then and there?

I might start doing this when I buy bigger items. Just a thought

TLDR ---> If you say that some has a lower price at the register do they think they'll beat it, without proof?

why dont we start an real small supermarket and selle verything for 1 cent, but no one knows about our supermarket so no one buys out shit but we can buy at the walmart for 1 cent... imma fucking genius

Technically it has to be an advertised price, and online doesnt count. I can tell you from my days as a manager at a wally world, sad i know, that they dont give a fuck. I got a 350 nikon camera on black friday for 99 bucks, and regularly snag 24 packs of coke for 3 bones. Video games, say best buy has said game for 15 bucks cheaper. IIRC as long as the price difference is less than 20 bucks, maybe 30 the cashier doesnt need a supervisor to do an override.
