Summit County, CO Housing

I am moving down to Summit County this next fall and am in need of some help finding a place to stay. I would love to take a trip to look around but being in Alaska it just doesnt pencil out.  If anyone had information on long term lodging there and i will also be looking for roomates.

Your help is much apreciated

the Summit daily is okay but half of the listings are expired or already taken, they don't update it day to day very well.

Try and get something in the summer. I have been watching the prices of places to rent and they go up as it gets closer to ski season.

this. I got my place in july last year , it's 950 a month but I bet it would've been over a G if it'd been october (good thing I dont pay for it ;). not to mention the vast amount of listings that time of year, I looked at 7 different places in one day when I was deciding.

I hope it wont be too bad for me when i start the move in sept or oct. good thing i got a job at target so i can hopefully transfer the the one in silverthorne.

arent you in frisco? dont want to sounds to nosey but just curious, i have another year until im ready but i want to be as prepared as possible.

oh and do you rent a house?

yeah frisco, dillon is ugly and if you live in breck you stay in breck if you know what I mean. I rent a one bedroom house for myself right on the bike path so it's pretty legit

frisco is probably my goal location, its sort of centralized to all of the resorts and areas for work, plus its close to 70.

the silverthorne,and keystone area is to bad either.

for now, my rents are only covering me for another year or so, then I'm on my own and I still got around 2 years of school left. They also don't mind because they can use my place for a vacation spot.

i tried using that to my advantage, they said they let me live in their house my whole life...


are you going to stay in summit when your done with school? or are you going to transfer to a university?

I'm just doing the Bachelor in sustainability then I'll be done, hopefully that can lead me to a job in the mountains. I'd love to go live in washington or something for a while.

is it more $$$ in frisco than say breck. i know its all summit and it depends really on the appartment. but are there more places for rent in frisco that seem reasonable im sticking to frisco, dillon, silverthorne, and keystone mostly cause breck is like in its own atmosphere.
