Saga vs. First Drop

I'm looking to get a decent jacket for next year while they're cheap. Both have basically the same price and style so I don't know which one to choose. I don't know too much about either of these jackets, could someone give me their input and pick the higher quality jacket. Also i'm 6'2 what size should I get since I can't exactly try them on.

Also I've been getting screwed over when I order stuff online. When I get a 3XL tall t from champs its not even tall on me. I want something between my waist and knees. At least an XL for Saga?

XL saga is pretty big and is the largest size. Saga definitely. I love that jacket btdub.

Xl is the biggest size saga makes for outerwear. And its huge. The fit is amazing. Im the same height as you and saga fits about 2-3 inches above my knees. Maybe a bit less. Its such high quality.

First drop on the other hand... Youll destroy it in around 2 and a half seconds

Saga makes actual gear. if you want a cotton stuffed piece of fabric go for first drop but if you want an actual jacket buy saga.

theyre better than first drop for sure, but the only way i would buy a saga jacket would be if they didnt put that stupid mesh lining on the inside of it. It completely defeats the purpose of having a breathable shell.

My old FD pants after one season
-multiple penny sized rips in the cuffs
-ripped pocket
-2 broken zippers
-broken ghetto slit zippers
-leg vent zippers perma-open because zippers caught in mesh

My Saga pants after one season
-one small dime sized hole in the cuffs

That's only because u forced ur glove into it.. Haha. Anyway...... It comes down to personal opinion. Yes saga makes better quality. But don't let NS convince u that fd is complete shit. Fd is fine. Get whatever u want because with either I'm sure it will last. stose has had his for a year and it's fine. It'll probably last a lot longer. But from the actual reviews, saga has better quality

If I buy a expensive coat it should last forever, nice outerwear shouldn't wear out, except for pant wear off course.

My sport check jacket is still going strong after 2 years.

First Drop may be cheaper, but you have to factor in the price of a handgun, prostitutes, and bail money. So, Saga ends up being more economical.

either way first drop is cheaper and i think it looks cooler, and its baggier. but in the end its up to you. and you also get alot of cool stuff depending on how much money you spend.
(i would get first drop)

Yes I agree... My friends fd got a hole in the pants pocket within 1 month of having it. Plus that saga jacket is way sicker. Ur choice

I love my FD jacket. This years jackets are really high quality (despite what the ignorant members on here try to convince you). It's held up super well, with not a single rip or tear anywhere. It's super warm, but has a ton of vents, plus zip off sleeves if it's warm out. Don't just listen to the blind lemming-like hate of FD, it's great outerwear.

I've had my first drop jacket and pants this whole year with VERY minimal damage! small scuffs on my pants and a small nik in my jacket from a tree... i love First drop and would recommended it...

my first drop stuff held up great this year. no damage to either jacket or pants. The saga stuff is nice as well, i have both, but first drop is warmer and can be made into a vest.

I also prefer the first drop pants/sizing or the saga pants.

Go xl with saga, first drop you could go xlt i think..

Saga is so awesome. I get tons of compliments on my On Deck, it looks sick, it was cheaper than first drop, and the waterproofing is better than my $250 spyder jacket i wore back in the day. havent had any durability problems either

thanks guys. decided to go with this one. White jackets get pretty filthy so I figured grey would last and look nicer after a few years of wearing.

but saga has more of a history it seems of having good quality. i would buy saga this year and check out the look/quality of next years fd. if they have good quality again then they have kind of established a reputation of stepping it up
