I am 5ft 10in and about 135-140lbs. I enjoy a playful ski that I can mess around with but I would also would like a ski that can be nice and stable at high speeds or in chutes. And also what size..night train all that is left is 178 so I guess I would get that one. In the ghost chant 176 or 186.
Thx guys +k to good answers -k to hate

I just bought the Night Train 186, and while I haven't ridden them, I can tell you that at 5'10", you're going to want the longer ski. When I rode a pair of 188 Rossignol S7s, they almost seemed a bit short due to the rocker, and I'm 5'11" 135-140 lbs. I would go with the Ghost Chant, based on length alone. I was pretty torn between which ski to get, and in the end I picked the non symmetrical ski because I'm probably not going to be ripping switch a lot.
Hope that helps. I haven't ridden either of them, but for the price, can you make a wrong choice?

the night trains are stiffer and dont have such an extreme amount of rocker than the ghost chants so they wil be more stable. they are super fun so much float. i just wish they made them longer than 186

Do you think that a 178 would be to short? I usually ride a shorter ski but am using a 176 as my daily driver.
Also would the ghost chants wash out on cliffs?

Definitely go 186. in pow and hitting cliffs you need as much length as possible. the ghost chants wont but since they are symmetrical they mainly require a center mount which makes them really playful but less stable.

Thinking on going with the 186 ghost chants...they are all out of 186 night trains....which one would do better on groomers?
