All I got out of that was a mishmash of "look how popular our videos are" and "here's a handful of Africans complimenting us out of context, therefore our cause is just."
Well nobody has actually done anything about it soo yeah I guess it is to some people. Funny how it only lasted like a week until everybody quit talking about it.
its an effort to recuperate from the terrible response they eventually got from the first video. most of it was the same mumbo-jumbo as before but the one thing I did notice that seemed to be hopeful was the fact that they are helping the victims help themselves. I'm sure everyone is fine with that idea in it's most simple form. But the idea of UN involvement and especially an American military presence in Uganda needs to die completely. Otherwise Kony2012 will continually be labeled a psy-op and an attempt to brainwash the world into allowing the UN/US to enter another sovereign nation (which has been accused of being motivated more by resource access than an actual effort to help people)
I still think that whether or not thats what invisible children is up to (i doubt thats their true intention), I don't entirely support an American or UN involvement there because it would seem incredibly suspicious. the UN could ignore the Rwandan genocide despite Dellaire's proof and evidence of the tragedy there but if they moved troops into uganda over something like this? something's gotta be up.
Not trying to start a shitstorm or provoke anything or make people mad or troll or anything. thats just sorta where i stand now. But when someone attempts to control the entire world's perception of a particular scenario that we know very little about as a whole, you have to take everything with skepticism. whether it's invisible children or infowars and the nay-sayers, you just have to take everything with a grain of salt and think for yourself.
ad hominem, just because he was convicted of those things doesnt mean he isnt allowed to try and start a political movement. but i still think the whole thing is a useless trend.
PRINCE ALI MIGHTY AS HE ALI ABOBWA(sp?). HES GOT 75 GOLDEN CAMELS. WHEN IT COMES TO EXOTIC MAMMALS BOY DOES HE GOT A ZOO IM TELLING YOU ITS A WORLD CLASS MENAGERIE. PRINCE ALI PRINCE ALIIIIIIIII PRINCE ALIIIIIIIIIIIII MARVELOUS HE ALI ABOBWA!
ooh yeah i was a bit stoned earlier today, not like thats an excuse but I sorta went off on a tangent. if you watched some of the infowars videos on this topic and it might make more sense.
yeah i know most of the stuff he says is retarded but its interesting to see his opinion on everything. some of what he says does make sense , to an extent. he takes everything way too extreme for me. and he exposed a lot of the obvious problems that other people had pointed out too
