why wont the US exchange candian coins?

i had a $5 bill, a $2 coin and 2- $1 coins and the bank said they would only take the bills.

so i have $4 canadian here and i cant do shit with it.

i love the exchange rate i can tell you that much....your dollar is like ntohing here....well it used to be more but its stil pretty low
