Hey Newschoolers,
I have just made a time lapse of Sydney Australia, nothing amazing just wanted to see if you guys liked it.
K+ for any thoughts, or ideas for improvement
i thought it was really sick. only 2 things
when the shots jumped back and forth they didn't really seem to change on a particular beat(may just be me)
and the shot of the airport could have been shorter, that was one of the less interesting shots, could have used one of the water.
thats my 2 cents
Cheers mate, thanks for your input. I ran out of footage since during one of session my camera dies so i had to make it the airport clip a little bit longer. +K
oh ok just in general id try to avoid that effect because it looks cheesy, but ill be honest i was impressed, i didnt think it was going to be as good as it was. well done, also howd u get the logo intro, did you make it?
Ill try and avoid myself next time, thanks though. I made the intro in after effects cs5 with the help from a website called video copilot, really good place to learn some impressive effects. +K
Well some of the shots were taken from inside a building and since it was quite tall these windows were sealed shut, so i had to place the camera behind the glass and because of the curved lens, it didn't sit quite right which lead to some reflections occuring
Next time, stick the camera in a cardboard box and place it right against the window. Works really well, usually for eliminating glare due to very limited backlight reflection. you might also want to black out parts on the camera that are highly reflective. black masking tape usually works well for this.
