Hello friend,
I understand what you are saying. Correct me if I am wrong but you think that the graphic is offensive to members of the african american community because its called the suspect and the graphic depicts someone wearing a hoodie whilst Treyvon Martin was wearing a hoodie the day he was killed. Alright. Well it seems to have been proven that the graphic was designed long before the shooting occurred. Also it is simply a silhouette, you cannot tell if the person in the hoodie is black or white or asian or latino. For all we know it could be a goat wearing the hoodie.
Why are you so up in arms about this? A ski named the suspected created before the shooting with a graphic designed before the shooting vaguely connects to a tragic incident. I can't speak for Salomon, so don't quote me on this, but I feel the thinking behind the graphic is that often times people who commit crimes and are suspect wear hoodies. Are all hoodies off limits now? Is anyone wearing a hoodie racist?
Tragic things happen. Its a fact of life. And we are yet to know the facts about what happened that day. Here is a suggestion: if you don't like the ski because of what you think of the graphic, don't buy it. There is no need to try to get people up in arms about it? Whats the point? Get Salomon to pull the ski? Get them to not make money off it? Well people who share your view point won't buy it, and if enough people think that, then Salomon won't make money and that will be that. I am sure the company is not full of racists and bigots.
Thank you for your time.
Paul
P.S. If this is a troll thread then slap my ass and call me sally. But I don't really give a shit because I am bored and don't want to go to sleep.
