Opinions on really short longboards?

I've been riding the same 46" board for years, but i want to buy a shorter ride for school. Im looking at a couple in the 27-33" range. Will these boards feel too unstable like sorta like skis to snowblades or is it not a big deal?

mah, i dont really care. i have a short one and a long one. i use the short one if im chilling with friends and whatnot, but i use my big one for point A to point B stuff yaknow?

What you are talking about at that length is actually a revolutionary new product. It is so different it isn't even called a longboard. You've probably never heard of them, (hipstermeme.jpg) but they are called skateboards. Give one a try some time. They're harder to get used to than longboards, but once you get the hang of it the tricks and style are much cooler.

landyahctz dingy is a super fun board. i ripped through my school on one all the time, you can olly it with the upturned nose and kick which works really well over bumps or a step

buy a skateboard and put risers and longboard wheels on it.

they can be a lot of fun, but i wouldnt go try and bomb some hills with them. also they dont ride as smooth going over cracks and gravel witch gets tiring. if you do end up getting one id definitely put some oversized wheels on it to compensate.

I have the Bustin Ibach Mini, i believe its 32". I love it, its super quick and nimble, it turns on a dime. Its also perfect for riding between classes as it fits nicely under my desk. Admittedly I do want a longer and flexier board so i can pump and dance more easily.

Get a Penny Cruiser. I have the nickel which is just a bit larger then the one in this video but it's a ton of fun.

It's really fun to cruise around. Why do people feel the need to label everything. I'm pretty sure most people aren't buying these just to play the part of a "hipster." oh well...

Off-topic question:

I've been thinking about doing this for a while. I don't skateboard much, but when I do, I normally want to cruise half the time and do tricks the other half. Is longboard wheels on a skateboard a good idea for me? I don't see many people with it, so I was wondering if there was something wrong with it.
