Strange computer beep/alarm

Alright, I'm not a member of any computer forums, so I figured I'd post this here.

Last night, my computer started making a beep or alarm while using it. It's two beeps, in a low/high sound. They seem to come randomly, sometimes a few times in a row, sometimes not for a few minutes between them. The sound is coming from the speakers, and not an internal speaker for the motherboard or anything.

The only thing I can compare it to, is the sound it makes when you unplug something. There's nothing that pops up as far as a warning or anything. And it's getting SUPER annoying.

Anyone ever had this before? Or know how to fix it?

Are you receiving text message when it's beeping. A lot of computer speaker beep and make weird sound when you receive a text message.

Actually, this might be your problem. I get that all the time on my amp whenever I'm playing guitar. Also, that noise will occur even when my phone is near the amp.

Sorry folks, still alive.

Knock on wood, but it hasn't made the noises in quite a while. But I'll check the RAM thing, I just got back from a trip, and it might have gotten banged around a bit.

So...found the source of the mystery beep.

One of the websites I was on, has a live chat feature. I forgot about that. Every time someone says something, that's the noise it makes. That completely explains the randomness of the beeps, along with the fact that when I closed the internet, it seemed to go away.

I thought for sure it was your computers built in gaydar going off whenever you got close to it.

Jokesssss but yeah one time the song california girls wouldn't stop playing on my computer and it lasted for about 4 days. I wanted to fucking kill it by the end of it
