Shit, vibes to his family, and his son too who saw it happen :( Hopefully there will be a miracle rescue, but it's unlikely due to weather

its not dangerous if your smart about it and avoid the hazards. in the spring when the avy conditions are low its a ton of fun to go up with friends.

I think the fall probably killed him but this still seems like the weakest rescue attempt ever, send one guy halfway down the hole, once, a couple days ago, and call it good? what heroes.

I thought once the Ranger decided it was too dangerous, they were going to send a camera down there to see what was up.   Whatever happened to that idea?  God damn, it's like we have so much technology and can't even get down to this guy!!  If the camera confirmed he was still alive the day of the accident, at least try to send some kind of heating/survival equip down.....fucking SOMETHING.

They went down 50 feet and it narrowed to 4ft. Chances are falling over 50 feet it going to kill you. I do think they should have sent a camera down or something to see if he is alive, but no sense risking another life for a recovery.
