Physics HELP!!

I need to know how to do this problem i have a test tmrow.

Electric potentail difernce between two plates is 70.0 V. the plates are 0.020 meters aprt. what electric field intensity exsits betwwen them.

Here are some equations that miht help E=kQ/r^2  or: C=Q/v

K=9.0x10^9

The way I learned to solve this is the equation E=(Vab)/d. Im assuming the electric field is uniform or else this would be a lot more complicated.
Where:
E is the electric field
Vab is the potential difference
d is the distance between them

E = (70V)/(0.020m) = 3500V/m

cmon now, just google parallel plate capacitors. if im still on in a couple minutes and there still isnt a reasonable response, ill go dig into my notes to get the equation. but im sure someone else will jump up to the plate by then

this is right. just think about the units, electric field is V/m...and you have been given V and m.

best thing you can do is learn the units of everything. I have been a TA for undergrad EM in the past and the people that struggled with this type of stuff refused to learn units - my biggest pet peeve was when people would give the E field answers with units of N/C. its technically correct but doesnt make any intuitive sense so its essentially useless.

regardless of whether the units match up you still have to use common sense...3500 V/m is a ridiculously absurd answer...I would be very surprised if it was right. Just think about the voltage from a common wall socket.
