FYI: Helmets and park passes are NOT manditory in the public park, but I'm pretty sure most camps are making people wear buckets in their lanes. It's a good idea to wear one because then you atleast have a very minute chance of poaching a table at one of the camps without getting the boot...

all you 'too cool for a helmet' people are lame...especially if you think you are too good for one or whatever. it's easy to just be fucking around and concuss yourself...i'm going to be wearing one now after i realized it's stupid NOT to and after getting a concussion. you can get a giro for 30 bucks right now at sportsden.com...but, it's your own melon. since i like mine, i am going to wear a helmet.

i think the one i just got was the s4...which looks just like the nine. def a nice lightweight helmet, and the earflaps are removable which is nice :)

I dunno why i dont wear a helmet... prolly cause i cant find one that fits my comfortably enough for me to WANT to wear it all the time. I have my racer lid which is NOT going to camp with me but I'll deal with that later. I preach to the kids i teach all the time that if thier parents send helmets they gotta wear 'em but yet i never do... I hate racing in mine too... I find that when i do wear my helmet that i tend to over step my boundaries and screw myself up other ways...
