i think its badass, but this is the first i've heard of "wakeskiing".

what's the difference between waterskis and wakeskis? besides the shape, obviously. skiing switch?

yes. i have a pair of hos and one of the guys on my water ski team has a pair of stereos. i can tell you anything you want to know. been riding them for 3 or 4 years now.

what kind are they? that's pretty cheap. i'm assuming that's a blank price as bindings alone cost close to that amount.

different wake skis ride differently, too, so depending on your skill level, size, etc., you might be better suited for one pair over the other.

i haven't seen anything quality outside of HO and Stereo wakeskis. Every other pair besides those two mfgs looks like fucking shit and I wouldn't waste my money on them.

explain how they look goofy behind a boat? dead serious on this, i think it would be sick to get towed on the lake and see what you could jib around on.

maybe i've been living under a rock, but i've never seen a cable park before. shit is absolutely sick though

It seems like you can't get nearly as much air off a wake on wakeskis as you can o a wakeboard. 1080s are doable on a board but I don't think I've seen over a 360 from a wake skier behind a boat. There just seems to be more potential with a wakeboard

they just do, feet spread really far apart, no clean landings at all, just the way they are shaped looks weird when you try to cross them. I don't know, when I see it I just don't think it looks good. this is coming from a person that has lived on a lake their whole life and water skied, wakeboarded, and snow skied my whole life. I think its awesome that they are trying to start something new but I think that cable park is the way to go with this, jibbing on those looks so fun and sick.

I completely disagree with you. I also have grown up on a lake my entire life, until college, and have been on a waterski team for 8ish years. I think they look legit behind a boat. What do you mean, no clean landings? itd just be like wakeboarding but on two instead of one. Wake to wake gainers would be nasty on those things, or lincolns, or even any sort of 3-5-7 etc. I think theyre sick overall. Have you ridden them before or are you just saying what you think they look like? Theyre fun as hell to ride, and should be ridden anywhere imo

nah I have never ridden them, I would like to try though just to say I have. guess it just depends on the person to decide how it looks. a couple years ago I thought it would be cool to try and bring wakeboarding tricks to waterskis but I don't know after seeing it, it just doesn't look right to me. maybe it's something I will have to see a lot to warm up to yuh know?

yeah, and i think riding them will def help that. To me they take a while to get used to but they are fun as hell once you start riding them and get good at them/have friends that get good at using them

maybe so, but i'm pretty open to any extreme sport. if it looks like it takes serious skills, and serious skills are displayed, i respect it.

i'm definitely investing in a pair though, i need a skiing related summer sport besides blading. i'm honestly the only person in my town that takes aggressive skating seriously, and applying those skills to water sounds awesome to me.
